Vahid Khadem-Missagh is artistic director of the Allegro Vivo Festival and its orchestra in residence since 2016. Situated in the beautiful region of the Waldviertel in Austria it is the largest chamber music event with over 70 concerts at 35 heritage locations. Integral part of the festival is its summer academy with over 600 participants from all over the world. Vahid Khadem-Missagh invites artist colleagues such as Elisabeth Leonskaja, Christian Altenburger, Nobuko Imai, Patrick Demenga, Nikolas Ofczarek and transorms the whole region into a musical landscape attracting audiences from near and far.

With the orchestra in residence, the Academia Allegro Vivo, he performs regularly inside and outside the festival with radio- and CD-recordings. Latest releases include the premier performances of Tristan Schulze and Christoph Ehrenfellners violin concertos, and Mendelssohn’s concerto for piano, violin and orchestra, and Gustav Mahler’s 4th symphony in the version for chamber ensemble.
